August 18, 2006 - Notre Dame Cathedral & Central Post Office

Since the Cathedral is right across the street from the Clinic. We decided to go over there, take a look around and say a short prayer. The church is beautiful. It was built in the 18th century and has beautiful stain glass windows (which have been replaced because most of them were destroyed during the war). The only thing that was strange was that they had neon lights around the Saints.
Right across from the Cathedral is the Central Post Office of Ho Chi Minh city. The inside is amazing with the maps of Vietnam done in Mosaic on the walls. In the middle is a desk so you can buy limited edition stamps but also postcards and cards. The place was amazing.
